The mioty Global Summit 2026 was an interesting and valuable event, bringing together experts, professionals, and technology enthusiasts from different sectors to exchange ideas on resilient connectivity, innovation, and the future of wireless technologies.
For Sentinum, the summit was a great opportunity to showcase how mioty® enables robust, scalable, and energy-efficient LPWAN connectivity for demanding real-world applications. Sentinum offered an insightful presentation highlighting practical use cases where smart sensor technologies and LPWAN connectivity can create real operational value.
One focus was flood resilience and climate adaptation, presented through the heavy rain early warning system developed together with our partner Spekter. The solution combines water-level monitoring in rivers, sewer systems, and critical urban infrastructure with external data sources to support earlier warnings and faster response during heavy rainfall events.
A second use case focused on the monitoring and protection of critical underground infrastructure. With the robust Juno Tilt sensor, Sentinum showed how manhole opening detection, asset tracking, and access monitoring can help cities and infrastructure operators improve visibility and detect unauthorized activity — even in remote or hard-to-monitor areas.
